Transportation-related incidents can have serious consequences for nonprofit and human service organizations, their employees, and the people they support. This webinar will explore current transportation risks and practical strategies for improving driver and passenger safety. Topics will include driver selection and qualification, motor vehicle record reviews, training and supervision, distracted and defensive driving, safe loading and unloading, passenger oversight, vehicle maintenance, and effective transportation policies and documentation. Real-world claim scenarios will highlight common contributing factors, lessons learned, and corrective actions organizations can implement immediately. The session will conclude with risk management, consulting, training, and educational resources from Great American and SRC, followed by audience Q&A.
