About the Diabetes Management Made Simple Training:

The Diabetes Made Simple training is designed to empower DSPs and other support staff in supporting a person with disabilities who may be managing pre-diabetes and type 1 or 2 diabetes.

In easy-to-understand, non-medical terms, this training will review:

• What diabetes is and the signs to look for
• What are good numbers, what are bad numbers and what they mean
• The role of the DSP and other support staff in caring for people with pre-diabetes and type 1 & 2 diabetes
• What DSPs can do to assist the nurse aid someone with diabetes especially during a diabetes emergency
• The importance of meals and snacks

TOPIC: This webinar will focus on diabetic foot and skin care.

Intended Audience: Direct Support Professionals and other Support Staff of provider organizations who assist people with disabilities in managing diabetes.
