Many providers are investing in photovoltaic rooftop solar arrays as a great way to either save money by using the energy themselves, but in many cases as a way to produce revenue by selling the energy or leasing the rooftop space. With both strategies comes significant, and sometimes hidden, exposure from a liability and property perspective, which can result in significant loss of life and physical assets. This presentation will explore those exposures, and discuss how to mitigate these risks through understanding how the array operates, contractual risk transfer, inspection of the system, and interfacing with local emergency response services. We will also provide a third party resource that both providers who currently have systems installed, or are considering their options, can instantly use to help mitigate their property exposure.
This presentation would be geared towards CFO’s, COO’s, and Property/Facilities Directors.
