As professionals in the human services system, we oftentimes remind the people we support about the importance of health and wellness. The two go hand in hand and are essential to our overall well-being.
Our society is learning more and more about the strong bond between mindfulness and good physical and mental health. Practicing mindfulness allows us to be more attuned to healthier brain functioning, learning ability, memory, mood, and behavior. All of which are vital to healthier lifestyles, positive attitudes, and the overall general wellness of employees, employers, and the people being supported.
It’s important that we can make decisions in our daily lives and critical in New York’s intellectual and developmental disabilities organizations, as decision-making on behalf of the people we work with is the most paramount part of our jobs.
Have you ever said to yourself “I wish I could stop second-guessing myself”, or “I wish I could stop overthinking”. Or how about “I wish I could get out of my own head”. If you resonate with these words, then know this: your headspace matters more than you think and a few mindfulness tools can help.
Did you know that your headspace impacts:
How you sleep?
How you interact with others?
How you deal with stress?
How you bounce back after challenging moments.
If you struggle with second-guessing yourself, this webinar is just for you.
