Building Resilience

Pending Approval to Provide 1.5 SW CE Hours

Presented by: Christine Reinhard, M.A., M.S., ACC, Chrysalis Coaching

The last few years have certainly challenged us and required us to work through adversity unlike any we have known before. For some, these challenges have been difficult but manageable, while for others, they may have seemed overwhelming and insurmountable. What enables some people to adapt well to difficult situations; bouncing back and even coming out of them stronger and others to become frustrated, immobilized, and distraught?

Resilience is often believed to be an innate quality; a trait that we find within ourselves when we need it. In reality, resilience is a life-skill that can be, and often is, learned. Just as with physical strength, you must build your “resilience muscle” to become stronger. Areas covered in this workshop include:

  • What is Resilience and the benefits of being resilient?
  • Characteristics of resilient people and how to develop them.
  • The importance of your personal and professional network in building Resilience.
  • Eight common relational sources of resilience to cultivate.
  • The leader’s and organization’s role in supporting employees to become more resilient.

Through this workshop, we will highlight many of the relevant competencies of Emotional Intelligence that support Resilience in both yourself and help you to create a culture of shared resilience responsibility to support your team in becoming more resilient as well.
