Preparing leaders to look beyond the compliance plan, the audit process, and the check list, to establishing an organizational culture of ethical and value-based behavior. This session will discuss best practices and analyze examples of real situations. Learn how the Executive Team can be the role models, setting the example or inadvertently sending the wrong message to other leaders within the organization.

Target Audience:
The target audience is emerging leaders in your organization who have been recently promoted to an agency wide leadership position or identified as a potential future agency wide leader.

Participants should have broad oversight responsibility, commit to participate the session and be recommended for training by an agency executive team member.

About the Presenter: Melissa Zambri, Barclay Damon

Melissa Zambri is a member of Barclay Damon’s Management Committee and managing director of the Albany office. She is also the co-team leader of the health care and health and human services teams and is a former member of the Compensation Committee.

In her practice, Melissa focuses on enterprise development and regulatory guidance for the health care industry. She assists health care clients with certificate-of-need applications, compliance programs, audits, investigations and self-disclosures, HIPAA compliance, and licensure issues. She also helps clients obtain approvals to operate health care facilities and to complete significant transactions. She counsels providers on federal anti-kickback and self-referral requirements, regulations governing federal- and state-funded health care programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, and other regulatory requirements applicable to health care providers.
