On December 22, 2021, the NYS Department of Labor issued the proposed rule regarding New York HERO Act (HERO Act) workplace safety committees.  Since the HERO Act deadline for workplace safety committees has already passed, it's important for all employers to understand what the proposed regulations tell us.  Key discussion areas include:

  • the process for forming Workplace Safety Committees;
  • the requirements for structuring Workplace Safety Committees;
  • the rules for operating a Workplace Safety Committee; and
  • special employer and supervisory responsibilities.

Please join us for a practical discussion of the proposed rule and how employers can best prepare.
